Genuine Swiss ETA Movement Grades

The ETA movements are produced in 4 quality grades: Standard, Elabore, Top, and Chronometre.  Each grade has set performance specifications, and 99% of the movements delivered in a lot is within these limits.
Note that Asian made “ETA” style movements doesn’t have the materials, build quality and performance that the genuine Swiss ETA movements have.

Standard
– nickel plated with Etachoc shock protection. Nickel balance, Nivarox-2 spring, Nivaflex NO.
– adjusted in 2 positions: CH and 6H
– average daily rate: +/- 12 seconds
– maximum positional variation: 30 seconds
– isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 20 seconds

Elabore
– Etachoc or Incabloc shock protection, nickel balance, Nivarox-2 spring, Nivaflex NO.
– adjusted in 3 positions: CH, 6H, 9H
– average daily rate: +/- 7 seconds
– maximum positional variation: 20 seconds
– isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 15 seconds

Top
– Incabloc shock protection, Glycodor balance, Anachron spring, Nivaflex NM, Red Jewels.
– adjusted in 5 positions: CH, FH, 6H, 9H, 3H
– average daily rate: +/- 4 seconds
– maximum positional variation: 15 seconds
– isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 10 seconds

Chronometre
– Incabloc shock protection, Glycodor balance, Anachron spring, Nivaflex NM, Red Jewels.
– adjusted and timed per COSC specification which is not much different from Top Grade.
